After an autumn noticeably lacking in action sports events, winter is finally here and that can only mean one thing - the Extreme Weekend Roundup returns!

Air+Style 2014: Norwegians dominate in China

Emil Ulsletten topped an all-Norwegian podium to win the first Air+Style of the season in Beijing on Saturday.

He stomped a Switch Backside Triple Cork 1440 on his last jump of the night to post a 93.33, leaving Stale Sandbech in second and Torgeir Bergrem in third.

Maxence Parrot finished fourth in the Super Final at the Bird’s Nest Stadium despite posting the highest score of the competition in round 1 with 97.00.

Air+Style touches down next in Innsbruck, Austria on January 16th and 17th before its first-ever trip to LA in February – both will be LIVE on Extreme.com

ASP World Tour: Bourez takes Triple Crown round two

Michel Bourez won the Vans World Cup of Surfing in Hawaii this weekend to move into second in the race for the Vans Triple Crown.

The Tahiti surfer put in a stunning performance, racking up a score of 18.13 to beat Dusty Payne, who leads the standings after winning the first round.

And local riders Sebastian Zietz and Ian Walsh rounded out the top four at the penultimate event of the season.

“It took a lot to get that win today,” said Bourez. “I really wanted to come here and get a big result so I can finish the year really well.”

The world of surfing now turns its attention to the Billabong Pipe Masters, staring on Monday 8th December, where Kelly Slater, Mick Fanning and Gabriel Medina will battle for the ASP World Title and the Vans Triple Crown will be decided.

AFP World Tour: Wise wins Platinum season opener

David Wise kicked off the AFP World Tour halfpipe season in the USA with victory at the opening platinum event of the year in Colorado.

The 2014 Olympic gold medalist won the USSA Grand Prix at Copper Mountain with a 92.40, which he recorded on his first run of the finals.

Fellow American Torin Yater-Wallace finished third while Benoit Valentin of France rounded off the podium, while Kevin Rolland and Gus Kenworthy could only manage fifth and sixth respectively.

In the women’s event Janina Kuzma of New Zealand beat Devin Logan and Ayana Onozuka to the top spot.

The next major event of the AFP World Tour is the Dew Tour in Breckenridge which hosts both halfpipe and slopestyle contents starting Thursday 11th December.

Tampa Am 2014: Teen Tastes Victory in Tampa

The legendary Tampa Am took place this weekend with 13-year-old Jagger Eaton taking the 2014 crown.

Micky Pappa finished in second while Hermann Stene rounded off the podium in Florida on the 22nd anniversary of the Skatepark of Tampa.
