Q. How did you get into skiing and what do you love about it?
“I started working at The Snow Centre, Hemel Hempstead where I accumulated free slope time. A lot my friends were snowboarders so naturally I tried to copy what they did on the regular freestyle nights.
“One thing led to another and nine months later I landed my first sponsorship with Atomic skis. I love the rush from learning new tricks but also enjoy the general positive vibes you get from riding with your mates. – what’s not to love!”
Q. What’s been the highlight of your career so far?
“My best moment riding was this year at the European Freeski Open where I put together back-to-back 1080's (Natural and Un-natural). Along with the rest of my run I was stoked to end the season with an epic comp!
“I love featuring in magazines as that gets me just as stoked as winning a competition. My first double page will always stay with me as a pinnacle moment!”
Q. What do you want to achieve in your sport in the future?
“To be the most covered skier in the UK.”
Q. Who inspires you the most in your sport and why?
“It would be impossible to narrow it down to one person. There are so many good riders that influence my skiing and have a huge difference in style. However, I generally look to people like Gus Kenworthy and LSM for a good variety.”
Q. What is your favourite place to ride and why?
"Laax, Switzerland! Despite it being a costly resort, Laax's park is always on point and forever changing. The pro line is normally one of the first to be built and provides a great learning ground.”
Q. What music is on your playlist when you ride?
“I generally ride with no music but heading up in the car, it’s normally a sing along to Biggie or The Weekend.”
Q. Which Extreme Sports Channel show would you most like to star in and why?
“Fantasy Factory! I can't skate that well, but it would be so dope to get pulled into Rob's foam pit, on a pair of skis!”
Q. If you could be a pro at any other sport, what would it be?
“Snowboarding so I can be like Billy Morgan and wang a quad cork! #stophating”
Q. What advice would you give to someone who wants to try freestyle skiing for the first time?
“Go straight and don't fall! Just kidding. The freeski scene is super friendly so get yourself down to a local center and give it a go! There is normally coaching on hand and never be too shy to ask for help or ideas. – it’s all fun whether you’re learning or a pro!
“I try and work with people from all ages to give them support and help out where possible. You never know they could be the next Olympian or film star!”
Q. If you could have three wishes, what would they be?
“Not to get injured, have my private mountain and 3 more wishes?”
